Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of the SonoFiles website and file tools. By using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and to take responsibility for the files you choose to process and the outputs you download.

Using SonoFiles

SonoFiles provides browser-based utilities for common file tasks. Features can change as browsers, libraries and file formats evolve. We may modify, add, remove or temporarily disable a tool when necessary for reliability, security or maintenance.

Your files and permissions

You must have the right or permission to process the files you select. Do not use SonoFiles to infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, contractual rights or other legal rights. A tool that can technically modify or unlock a file does not grant permission to do so.

Local processing

Where a tool explicitly states that it processes files locally, the operation is designed to occur in your browser rather than by uploading the file to a SonoFiles conversion server. This does not mean the entire webpage operates without network requests; ordinary site assets and libraries may still be delivered over the internet.

Output accuracy and verification

File formats are complex. Fonts, embedded media, formulas, scanned text, encryption, unusual page boxes and application-specific features can affect results. You are responsible for reviewing downloaded output before submitting, signing, printing, publishing, deleting an original or relying on the converted file.

Do not treat a visual signature tool as a certificate-backed digital signature unless the tool explicitly provides and describes that capability. Similarly, conversion or extraction tools should not be used as the sole source of truth for legal, financial or safety-critical data.

Prohibited use

Intellectual property

The SonoFiles name, site design, original text, icons and software provided by the service may be protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of SonoFiles materials to users. You retain whatever rights you lawfully hold in files you process.

Availability

We aim to keep tools useful and accessible, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Browser updates, device memory, third-party library availability, network conditions and unusual files can affect operation.

No professional advice

SonoFiles provides technical file utilities, not legal, tax, financial, medical or compliance advice. Explanatory content is intended to help users understand a file workflow and should not replace professional advice where the consequences are significant.

Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SonoFiles is provided without a guarantee that every file will convert perfectly or that every tool will be suitable for every purpose. Keep original copies and verify important outputs. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Continued use after an updated version is published is subject to the current Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
