Cookie Policy

This page explains cookies and similar browser storage in the context of SonoFiles. It also distinguishes website storage from the temporary in-browser file data used by local file-processing tools.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of data a website can ask a browser to store and send with later requests. Websites can also use technologies such as localStorage or sessionStorage for preferences and interface state. These technologies have different behavior, but users often encounter them together in privacy settings.

Necessary website storage

Some storage may be needed to remember a user preference, maintain a security choice or make an interface behave consistently. Necessary technologies should be limited to what is reasonably required for the feature they support.

File-processing data is different

When a SonoFiles tool processes a selected file locally, the browser may hold file bytes, generated previews or Blob URLs in memory while the page is open. That temporary processing state is not the same thing as using an advertising cookie to track browsing activity. Refreshing or closing the page normally clears tool state, subject to browser behavior.

Analytics

If SonoFiles uses analytics, the purpose is to understand aggregate website use and technical performance, such as which pages fail or which device types need attention. The exact technologies in use can change, so consent controls and this policy should be updated if optional measurement is introduced or materially changed.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

SonoFiles may use Google AdSense and related Google advertising services when advertising is enabled. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads and, where permitted, to personalize ads based on visits to SonoFiles and other websites. Users can manage ad personalization or opt out of personalized advertising through . Browser privacy controls can also be used to view, block or delete cookies. Advertising cookies are optional technologies and are not described by SonoFiles as technically necessary for the core file tools.

Third-party resources

A page can request scripts, fonts or libraries from another provider. Those network requests may expose ordinary connection information to that provider even if no cookie is set. This is separate from whether the file selected for a tool is uploaded. The Privacy Policy explains that distinction in more detail.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking all storage can affect preferences or functionality. Browser controls vary, so use the privacy or site-data settings provided by your browser if you want to inspect or remove stored data.

Regional choices

Privacy and cookie rules differ across the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland and European jurisdictions. Where consent is required for Google advertising, SonoFiles will use an appropriate consent mechanism, including a Google-certified consent management platform where required, so users can make or manage their choices before applicable non-essential advertising technologies are used.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this Cookie Policy when website technology changes, including changes to analytics, advertising or consent tools, so this description remains accurate.
